stall, pause, stop, restart, repeat

I am currently in the  “stall, pause, stop, restart, repeat” stage of my weight loss program.  I definitely thought, Oh the new year will be just fine & dandy i’ll continue losing weight like i was doing in november / december . Now, it’s nearing the end of Feb and i’m struggling.  I really am.  I’m at a very tough spot in the weight loss process. It’s around this time [ three months ] that all my other diets have failed. It is really scaring me.  I’ve come a long way, personally… in the last three months.  But if i quit now. I will gain back the 42 pounds and at least another 15 more. That is not an option.  I need to be back on track.  I don’t know what to do, I need an intervention.

Gym. Tan. Laundry.

Gym. Tan. Laundry. It’s what all the Jersey Shore peeps do.  For the first time tonight, I GTLed.  I am just wrapping up a month of tanning because it makes my skin brown & it feels Oh so good. I did go away to a sunny place for 10 days in the midst of my tanning… but yeah.

Today wasn’t a great day for eating.  I ate too much.  And– I ate carbs.  Ick.  I did well this morning at lunch time when I ordered a chicken caesar salad.. but the salad came with bread.  i ate it.  Also, I arrived home after a day long day of classes and my mom had a fresh baked loaf of bread on the counter.  I ate two pieces.  I’m not here to tell you what goes into my mouth everyday.  I don’t even know if my blogging has a purpose.  or why you strangers care… but. 

kick start!

I am making this blog to stay accountable  to my meal plan that I have just started.  Today is the morning of day 4 of my meal plan and I have lost 7 pounds already.  I will explain a little about how this is going to work.  Each day I am allowed a F V P B and a F V P B.  The F is for Fruit.  The V is Vegetable (one serving is is 230 grams.)  P is for PROTEIN, which is the most important of all that you will eat in a day.  B is for bread but you really don’t eat any bread anyway.  For example, 1 serving of bread is two Triscut crackers.

Yesterday I only ate 1 of my daily Bread servings.  I didn’t miss it.  Of course when I was putting the croissants through the toaster at work, I mmmmed  at the smell!  Yesterday was also day 3 of working as a Cook at my job and Not Eating one single fry, one single yam fry, or one single Onion Ring!!! I also did not lick my fingers if I got any milkshake on it.  I strictly ate my salad lunch.  That was it, 3 days in a row.  I leave in 45 minutes for work and will do the same today.

I have tried many other diet fads including Weight Watchers, taking Raspberry Keytones etc. and none have worked.  I am actually excited about this meal plan and have noticed that healthy eating really is a lifestyle change.

This December 27 our family is heading down to California for our Palm Springs and Disneyland vacation. I am stoked.  Since I am nineteen now, this will probably be the last trip that I attend with my family.  As I bask in the warm Anaheim heat, I don’t want to be the sweaty fat chick who slows the family down.  I want to be the “skinny S—-” or probably just “slimmer S—-” for now!  I think that is it for today.  I know that the pounds won’t disappear as quick once the first two weeks are up, but it is a great Kick Start to my healthy lifestyle! 🙂
